Just had a call from a guy, he was given my number by a local farmer on whose land I control the rabbits. He wants to meet me either later this week or early next week to show me around his estate ( approx 80 acres of mature broad leaf woodland and literally a few mins walk away ) with the intention of controlling grey squirrels
Sounds promising Coney I hope it comes off for you mate.

good luck , word of advise, don't turn up in cammo gear for the meet!
Good advice, and I would never do that I have approached several farmers / land owners over the years, always dressed smart casual, and only had 1 negative response so far
It sounds very promising as he mentioned that he had installed 5 motion activated cameras around the feeders and he had over a 1000 activations in 5 days a good mix of greys and reds caught on the cameras
I have plenty of land which is good for hunting on after dark but it would be great to get permission on some land that is good for a bit of daylight pest control
you'll be saving the reds too, just be sure to id your target positivly first, make sure it's a grey.
Nice news for you sounds great. Now, a nice Steyr semi auto would be usful
Good luck with the shoot.
