Early Diana information and valuation please

    Hi Chaps,

could any of you be so kind as to date and value this break barrel Diana. It is in very good condition with a lovely stock and it seems to have an adjustable trigger. The Diana mark is just visible on the tube, I have not fired it yet but there is tension on the spring and it seems in good condition. I am guessing its around 1910? The sights are on it and it is complete...pics below.

    Thanks in advance.

It think it's probably more like late 1920s than pre-WW1. As to value, these always seem to sell for less than I think they should be worth, since they are enormous fun to shoot, accurate and quite powerful in good fettle. They rarely seem to sell for more than £130 or so, even in good original order. Like the similar sized Haenel mod II, a lot of them were exported to the UK and no doubt this depresses the value.

    It is a Diana model 27, 1910-1930.
It is in similar condition to mine which I paid £70 for from a dealer nine years ago and it should be worth £100-120 now in a private sale I would think.
    Hope this helps.
