Hi,
It looks like a cut down Millita type airgun?...
Hi,
Anyone able to help me identify what this is and how old it might be.
Similar to a Tell One or an Oskar Will. I cant find any www pictures that are quite the same though.

Hi,

blah blah
I think it is probably a cut-down FLZ Original V.
You should test its power in case it's over the 6ft/lbs limit for air pistols, unless its overall length keeps it a rifle anyway...

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
Thanks for the great advice. I have written to the guy I am buying from and adked him to confirm the gun is legal. If he can't guarantee this I will cancel the purchase. Even if he is confident and I decide to go ahead I will run it through my chronograph when it arrives to be sure.
Seller has confirmed this is old gun and well under 6 ftlbs. Will double check though...
320 fps with 0.177 8.2 grain pellet. 1.9 ftlbs if my calculation is correct... Pretty feeble for a pistol, let alone an ex rifle....
for my gunz guitarz and bonzai, see here

Before getting too excited, love the gun by the way, please check the regs. It is OK to fit a stock to a pistol and make it a carbine provided the power is left below 6fps but I am pretty sure there is a rule that says once a rifle, always a rifle so be careful with the new spring and washers. Personally as an interseting old gun, I would leave it alone, low power and all.

Always ready to buy another Webley pistol and another and . . . .
Stripped and cleaned it. Similar design piston to a Gem ie no leather seal, just a close fit steel piston. No plans to modify. It's a bit of history. Shame it got cut down but still fun. Completely inaccurate. Partly the low power but mainly that it no longer has a front sight :-)
And its definitely a cut down FLZ Original V.
More pictures here. The parts that have not has a saw taken to them are in good condition :-)
