Doh!!
Hi everyone
BIG THANKS go to Horsham Hawks for hosting round 4 of this year’s Sussex Interclub, in and around their beautiful woodland, complete with rhododendrons in full bloom.
Not only that, but they ordered and delivered great weather – almost too hot and humid at times; a 2nd in-a-row very un SIHFT-like morning. And yet again, our dietary needs were met by Wurz and his better half; great food chaps!
Tricky course, with range traps aplenty (and some I invented all on my own), duly stomped on all over by a few, including Justin’s superb and almost perfect 58.
Number of entries down a tad this week, with some no doubt being drawn to Basingstoke’s Bunny Bash. And there must have been something exciting happening oop north (Essex!) too, to keep the MAD crew down to just a single entrant – Tug standing tall all on his own.
Here is the full set of results …..

Please let me know a.s.a.p. if you spot anything you think is amiss.
Prize drawer winners today were :
- Justin Parrott – the £30 cash prize, and
- Steb Martinez – the Air Arms goody bag …. Or he would have got it if Andy had remembered to pack it. (don’t let him forget it when we next meet at Buxted in 2 weeks, Steb)
Team scores today were:
Club Round 4 Points Buxted 277 41 Oaks 275 45 Horsham 267 35 Meon Valley 258 42 Ford 253 31 Swallows 234 28 Iden Fern 212 22 Maldon 190 28
Iden Fern, Maldon and Swallows FTC each had to rely on ‘lucky-dip’ cards for the shortage of team members. 1 for Swallows and 3 each (the max) for IF and MAD.
Happy and safe shooting to you all ahead of round 4 of the 2016 SIHFT, which is in two weeks on the 19th June at Buxted.
In the meantime, best of luck to the SIHFT participant crew heading West to Meon Valley for the Bowman’s interesting mix of HFT, Gambol and Pistol HFT. For the rest, happy and safe shooting wherever you may be.

That has got to be one of the very best courses that Horsham have ever set - thank you, guys.
Hugely enjoyable day, cracking weather (well done, Mr Jacobs on the meteorological front!); sorry that Meon were a bit down on numbers (due to an unfortunate clash of dates with Basingstoke's "Bunny Bash"), and we are looking forward to seeing many of you next week at the Bowman Classic at Hen Woods, near East Meon 😎
Thanks Hawks for a good mornings entertainment
who ever set the first 7 targets in the field needs shooting, but not by me!
I dropped 1 point in the whole woods then proceeded to plate the 7 in the field Doh !
looking forward to meon and the free beer
