'x16' ?? Specsavers!
Can anybody please recommend a reasonably priced scpoe that will fit a FWB Sport without it hindering the barrel when cocking please? I will be using it at the club range up to 50 yards. Ideally it would have a zoom of about 16x.
I have tried an MTC Connect but it didn't suit my eyes.
Thanks,
Gary.

Try some good glass, and drop to 12x (like 4-12x)
The better glass will help see the 50yds rather than zoom. (my eyesight is quite poor as well)
I like the Nikon Prostaff 4-12 x40 or Vortek diamondback 4-12x40 on my springers, not over long to interfere with loading, but good quality at the price. I have a couple of each.
The Nikon has a variation on the range dots which is great for HFT, holding a circle over the kill, instead of a dot over the kill.
Thanks - Geoff.
For my two pence worth I would fit a period 3-9x40 scope the Fwb is nice and light and slim looking large scopes tend to look over the top period one piece mounts help set it off as well
A Sport will send you nuts if you put a bench rest magnification scope on it. Sports are not very forgiving and work best if shot sporter style; they really don't like the bench being too light weight. I love them but they are a 30m rifle with practice.
This my perfect Sport combination, a Optima 4x40:

Another option if you want a tad more is the Optima Moonlighter 3-9x45, top one:

I prefer the older Moonlighter but even that requires shifting the optical lens to get a sharp picture at x9 for air rifle ranges.

An older Tasco, Kassnar or Nikko would do. The Apel mounts for the Sport look the best too. The lower the scope the better.
Ideally a Tasco 2-7 x 32AG if you can find a good one at a realistic price. Failing that a Pro Air 4-12 which can still be picked up for reasonable money.

Thanks for all your help and I have had a look at the scopes for sale on here and after a bit of deliberation I've decided to buy a 3-9 nikko from JSR.
I've only just bought it and my next purchase is going to be a be a piston seal. where is the best place to source these please?
