'Muskett' is selling a very nice 'proper' export in sales. It's .177 full 22" barrel and no safety blurb on trigger block, £220 plus post. Far nicer than a new one, surely.
Why not hunt around for an old one? They do come up in good nick for reasonable money, almost always .22". New ones have the instruction manual stamped all over the end block, the shorter barrel, very bland walnut wood and inferior grip chequering. An old one is more likely to have nicely figured walnut plus in most cases the elegant 22 inch long barrel.
I can recommend SGC in Dorset, bought there last year. For a new 35E, I'd still say .22". Yes, a 4x32 in low mounts suits very well.
I hope you find satisfaction. All the best with one of the most handsome of springers.

My problem with selling used 35s is they are so cheap new!
So buyers, rather than collectors, get a new one.
I have three nice older models in .177 and they are pleasant to shoot.
Lovely stocks.
I normally prefer .22 in a springer but these seem fine.
The oldest one has the first owners initials and Venom on a brass plate.
The internals sort of confimed this but not what you would expect today!

The problem with buying an older version is the leaky breech issue. This can be avoided by asking a reputable member on this site how it measures over a chrono before sale.
I notice that Sportsman G C 's Weihrauchs are much the same price as you would find in other retailers.
Are they getting them from HC?

I wouldn't worry about it being a Hull Cartridge as you will effectively nullify the Warranty when you open it to degrease or indeed tune it. Hull Cartridge aren't a guarantee of quality they are simply the official importers.
I agree.
However, if they are not getting them from HC, they should be cheaper.
Weihrauchs are pretty cheap on the continent.
You can buy a HW77 from Germany for 290 quid. About 250 before the pound tanked against the euro.
