The wood at the front end of the stock isn't sturdy or robust enough to support a sling swivel, my choice would be to go slightly farther back or use a bottle clamp (there was one for an MFR in the for sale column yesterday)
Hi
Has anyone fitted a QD stud and a bipod on an MFR, i know the wood is rather on the slim side but can it be done.
Cheers

Persistence is the twin sister of excellence. One is a matter of quality; the other, a matter of time.

I've done it. You need to put the stud at least 12cm back from the very front of the forend as this is where the wood becomes thick enough to take the full length of the stud. Check before you drill that it won't be in the way of your leading hand. Here's a badly over-sharpened piccie of how mine looks, complete with BSquared bipod bush and sling swivel.
