I bought one from a local market RFD last year but I haven't seen them in shops for ages.
A bit nicer than the earlier models in my view.
Seems slicker than my 2000 model.
I want to get hold of a Gen 5 Baikal Makarov, it's the one with the slimmer frame and brown grips. The smaller size suits my effeminate hands, but I can't find anyone who still has them in stock. Can anyone help?

is this any good
.177 STEYR HUNTING SCOUT SA FULL CARBON SHROUD BUSHNELL ELITE 4200
Just an FYI, these are coming back into stock across Europe now. Marked as T17 and single stack/brown grip configuration I can only assume they found another box of old frames in the factory.
Although they should be available here soon, delivery from Germany only took 5 days.

Yep, they're calling them Generation 7 now.

Hmmmmm!
I may have to finally join the Makarov club!
Good deals with these members
Seen a video of these slimmer framed pistols which shows the bottom cut at the sides that joins the front to the back so if you take the grips off the frame springs in and out and is not solid like the original or early gen mak frames unless this was a one off. Remember a co2 mag has to fit with bottle which I believe is wider than a single stack 9mm mag.

I had a Gen 5 Mak for a while.
Nostalgia really (they don't shoot very accurately - what bb gun does?) because I lived abroad and once owned the real powder burner.
It wasn't possible to remove the leaf spring at the back of the grip area to disassemble the gun. Looked like it had been riveted in.
