John from North Yorkshire. Hello everyone, already read a lot of posts on here and the depth of knowledge is impressive! Had an Webley Tempest as a youth but did little more than plinking in an outbuilding on cold winter nights. Got hold of a Webley Mk1 or 2, not sure, 12 years ago but no longer have it, didn't appreciate what I had or how it could be serviced/tuned. It was twangy I guess and the original slimline scope was prob past it's best. Anyway, moving on...four years ago I bought a Bsa Lightning XL as a garden pest dispatcher. Recently after chatting to a mate started looking on forums. Decided to get a HW80K as a solid, reliable workhorse with bit more tuning potential than the BSA. As luck would have it a young chap has also just given me a very neglected and probably abused BSA Mercury MK1 so I have my first project gun too!
Great stuff, sorry that was a long one but now you know!
