I had a 2200 when I was kid about 10 ftp whit 10 pumps the is a model 1 for sale at £350 i like the look of them old guns
Dusted of the Crosman Model 1 rifle (first variant) i have today and checked it on the chrono, its doing an average of 561 fps with rws Superdomes (10 pumps).
Just wondering if anyone else has one of these and if so is this about where it should be power wise.

no sorry its 325 for a model 1 on gunstar
The Model 1 i have is nicely made with real wood stock and has the Williams rear sight and is in lovely condition.
I do have a chrome receiver version 2200 ( tapered barrel) and a later black receiver 2200 (straight barrel) which are around the same fps as the model 1.
Both of the 2200's have plastic stocks.

I do like the looks and handling on these, if not the build quality and trigger.
I have a chrome receiver 2200 and a 2200W, which was made in smallish numbers around 2000 or so. It's basically a model 1 with the simpler 2200 rear sight.
IIIRC, although Crosman originally recommended 10 pumps as the max, they later revised that down to 8, so as not to over-stress the mechanism.
I had a model 1 and sold it for £40
It's the first gun on the left in THIS PIC
