    Unidentified PCP pistol

Got this in today, a very well constructed solid pistol. Came with hose and fill adaptor, but have been unable to remove the cylinder so far. Will take it to workshop tomorrow. Does anyone recognise the make ? Thought it was home made but grip unit is a casting, all the rest machined from steel.

    Hello,
The grip/trigger frame looks very Benjamin/Sheridan to me. I am not aware that they did a PCP version of their CO2 pistol but I cannot say they never did. It could always be a custom job based around a CO2 action?

That's what I thought, it had the outline of the Swedish "Excellent" pistol AB Vapenfabriken Excellent of Stockholm model 1950 as listed in the Blue Book of airguns. I had seen one owned by Lawrie Amatruda which he had at Bisley. The build quality is similar to earlier Crosmans like the Skanaker but not current production, just the front sight and cylinder retainer unit at the front would take a lot of machining operations to manufacture from solid steel stock.

I am afraid I am not familiar with the Swedish air pistol, must get googling! This one certainly looks lovely and if it is American would have been in the early days when they were made more robustly and with quality.

Is that a first stage adjustment screw I can spy on the trigger? It certainly oozes quality from the pics. I do love seeing things like this that I know nothing about

Looks like a high quality home made job to me. Any markings under the grips Baz?

Looks a nicely put together pistol, .177 or .22 ?

Mark, its .22, got the cylinder off and made up a connection to bottle that works. This thing shoots absolutely great, beautiful adjustable trigger. Took off grips and there are no markings whatsoever. Really want to buy this for my collection, what are your thoughts on value ? Apologise for the following poor quality pic from my phone...

Good job, If I was offered a pistol like that I would reckon on £200 - £250. But I am a bit of a pistol fan, so maybe too much, or not enough for a individual piece like that.

Just seen and shot this quality pistol.
    Certainly not homemade.

I would be very pleased to get it for £250 or even a bit more.

I hope Baz can get it for his collection as we do a bit of lend /lease /buy between us.

Which is another way of saying I’m hovering like a vulture!

I think it should spend a week with me for 'evaluation' :
