yes, the RRG will rob 1-2 FP easy. Just use CV joint moly from halfords at £7 for a tub
Just put together a Park 93 with new springs and seals and it's running at about 10.2 fpe. Tried several flavours of pellets but this is the best I'm getting after about 500 shots
I'm reluctant to add pre load as it's already intense.
I've put Renolit red rubber grease on the two mainsprings and I think this is slowing it down a bit.
Can anyone recommend an oil/grease for the mainsprings please?
This is what I have to hand..
Quantum Hot Sauce
Napier Gun oil
Thanks
Simon

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Red rubber grease is cack! It slows things down which is fine if you can't figure out how to collapse a coil, but after a short while it will turn into cheese and be almost impossible to get rid of.
Degrease it and use a little moly if anything. Job's a goodun.
My ignore list: <Hidden information>
Is it a .177"?
My very imperfect recollection is that these made 10-ish in the minor calibre, and 11-ish in .22".
But I may well be wrong.
Yes, it's .177..
Thanks guys, will clean it off and put something slippier on.....will see where that gets me..
By the way, should I avoid getting brake/clutch cleaner on the seals??
