I think that was the song?
I finished my HW97UK today! It started as a right old nail I got cheap, then I bored out the mod and moved it back 3", reducing length without shortening the barrel. I then sent it off to Paul Chell to get reblacked, it's a great finish and I also got the Comp tube blacked and the lettering picked out in gold. It's gone into a black synthetic stock I got from Moletrapper with an oversized safety button from the Captain. Internally it has been polished and fettled with 8mm off the stroke.
Finally I have topped it with an Airmax scope and the whole package feels well balanced and compact. It shoots luvverly and I can't wait to get it down the range.

Very nice indeed
Looking very nice and purposeful, Nick.
What finish was applied to get the black comp tube?
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
NEXT EVENT :- August 3/4, 2024.........BOING!!
I have a similar looking 77, except I went for the less vulgar blacked oversize safety button. I do think the blacked comp tube is a very classy touch, mine has Dave Hall through-buttons so not such an easy option for me.
One mistaking I made was to get a super-set-back trigger from Rowan; with the KT stock you really don't need it. So that is going on the HW50 Oldschool.
All that weight and a short stroke should mean that it will be near recoilless. Let us know how you get on with it.
The 3" shortened front looks ace (but you must have lost 3" of cocking lever).
The blacked comp' tube is also lovely.
Needs some custom stock screws with cups, or venomy button head screws.
And your gold bits are wrong, as is the calibre.
I know I said I was going to fill in the 'Warnings' essay with white (or red) on a silver action myself - but I said that for a joke!
Looks the business does that mate
That's nice Nick - Kudos sir
All of the above.
