I finally managed to wangle a little bit of time this afternoon.
One washer under the guard and still the (aftermarket) trigger blade rubs against the guard.
Another washer and, hey presto, we have clearance. So rifle cocks fully and reliably now. Pseudo first stage a bit hit and miss. I seem to think that the standard trigger doesn't have a tiny spring between the blade and the lower part that contacts the sear. I've seen images on t'web showing a small spring there. Guessing that it may be the "Superstar style trigger conversion" that employs this little spring?
Anyways, it works, so it'll be merrily boinging down a few spinners.
Even managed a quick session down the hallway and at eight yards it's quite contentedly hammering the bull on 10m rifle targets, sitting FT stylee, but not particularly taking my time. So accuracy seems okay despite the bore looking a little grotty! We'll see how it fares at longer range.
