Hello Geoff,
Just took a look at the pre-fix list at the back of John Knibbs 'The 'Golden Century' book which confirms no that BB prefix Cadets were produced for some reason.

Hi, picked up an old BSA assumption it’s a cadet as it was with a couple of CA prefix cadets.
The knibbs site has b, ba and bc, but no bb?
The spacing between the first and 2nd b is much further apart than the 2nd b and the numbers?
Anyway, this and the CA rifles is pretty rough, worth saving or selling off at a car boot...
Thanks!
Thanks - Geoff.

Ok, thanks.
Must be mis-stamped and actually be B series, with another random B a little way in front. I did check again earlier to make sure it wasn’t an 8 !
Cheers!
Thanks - Geoff.
I recently saw a Cadet (can't remember if it was a Major or not now ) at a car boot sale that had 5 No.s starting with 2 but clearly no letters at all?!
