Its certainly great to get peoples opinions and reasoning on this subject and so far I've come to the conclusion that its worth more experimentation. I've ordered a few tins of various pellets and as soon as I get a moment will try to do a bit of an in depth chrono session with the different varieties through a couple of rifles and post the results on here.Originally Posted by deejayuu

Will the amount of required preload, mentioned above, be dependent on spring rate all other things being the same?
