£13-18 depending on weight
Please could someone who has recently posted an airgun using the PF 48 service give me a rough idea what it cost to send. I know postal rates have not long gone up.
Cheers
Dave

Better to admit you walked through the wrong door than spend your life in the wrong room
If you go on their website you can get a quotation for delivery between two postcodes with different delivery options e.g. next day before 10am etc.

If paying for it online, you can also usually find a voucher code by doing a quick Google search which will save you between 10-15% off the price.

I use parcel2go.com think from memory any weight up to 25kg and within the cube it size is about £9.50 same Parcelforce service as normal but cheaper, Convenient as you can drop at any post office or they will come and collect from you and bring a preprinted label.
Parcelforce conditions on sending an airgun
Arms and Ammunition - low powered air weapons Low-powered air weapons (air rifles, air guns and air pistols), together with lead pellets and other airgun and airsoft projectiles, can be sent but are subject to the following conditions:
These items must be sent on an express48 service only
These items must be sent via the Post Office only, and presented at the counter
Enhanced compensation cover is not available.
Make sure it goes surface mail only too . saves problems .
What happens when you dont follow the carriers regulations
http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....ght=royal+mail
You only have yourself to blame if it goes wrong and you have to reimburse the buyer due to you not following carriers conditions when the item goes to belfast and gets destroyed like the guy in the above post .
I would rather pay up to £20 than have to reimburse the buyer a few £000s and no airgun to show for it

And as a post on here recently demonstrated, READ THE SMALL PRINT
There are only certain services that you can send an air gun & it must be taken to the post office in person, you cannot use a service that collects from your home, & you cannot use a host site like P2G, also check any discount offer has the same compensation level.
£13.14 5 weeks ago.
Repariere nicht, was nicht kaputtist.
Parcelforce --48 or 24 I sent a air pistol last week cost £12-- but I have had a quote for a air rifle that was over £45 but that is down to the weight
Thanks all for the info 😊
