What is the reality on the ground though. Do other countries have a general licence? How do they license (if at all) the management of pest birds?

I did have a google but nothing came up without trawling through the likes of the above.

Govt refuting the DT article! Shouldn't have expected any common sense or fairness, it was obviously pre-planned with buy in from all the stakeholders.

So the solution is easy - just copy what France and Germany do - and it'll be de-facto legal!

The headline made it look like tit was being stripped but the story said this

    Quote

The Telegraph understands that this is one of the options under consideration by the environment secretary after angered MPs met with him on Wednesday night.

They lied in the headline .

It did not happen by accident that's for certain. I am also with the chap above, it will never go back to how it was.

I have said it before, I am no conspiracy theorist, but is was pre managed. I don't think they anticipated the fallout. Which in itself shows they really do not know what they were doing. As my cousin (a farmer) said to me yesterday, if you want to have livestock, you have to be able to cope with dead stock too. Packham and his ilk want to live in a Utopian world very much detached from reality.

Just stick to metal targets , just as fun .
    Couldn't agree more.

Nope it is a necessary thing to do.
Photos aren't in that respect. but I take and show my photos to the farmers I shoot for.
Especially a large pile of rabbits and pigeons.
It keeps them happy and keeps me on my permissions.
Better than hanging them up on a gibbet.

Ask yourself why NE are suddenly recruiting a new Chief Executive The Chairman is not the issue.

Really Licences revoked the day he started, he would 100% have had input into that.

Actually the damage was done with bird nets.
Most of the damage already done.

Each country has to be taken on its own merits. The UK has a fantastic record of good shooting practices, with hunters being responsible for the greatest conservation efforts.
Its modern farming techniques throughout Europe and elsewhere that have really done it in for birds. But at least food stuffs are cheap for the urban eco warriors.

How selective you are where the buck stops.

Its a mess and requires sorting. I'm unconvinced this chairman is the right one for this cockup.

So what had NE been doing in the month or so before Juniper started since being served with the legal notice? Nothing? If you knew the slightest thing about politics you would see the coincidences in timing. He had input in his first day? Yeah, right, how convenient

So...what does a Chief Executive do? He makes decisions. How selective you are when it comes to thinking
