The original 25mm piston HW77. The best springer ever made!
I Don't think that any other airgun manufacture has ever given the airgun world so much choice over the years what ever you think of the new Diana company.
Anyone got a favourite
The original 25mm piston HW77. The best springer ever made!
My ignore list: <Hidden information>
I read that a few times, then it made sense! Due to some real dumbass threads I have had to add the word "Diana" into my ignore list.
With this new information I am struggling to think of anything good they made, certainly nothing as good as the HW77. I suppose my 54 Airking isn't as hateful as their stupid slanty breeched break barrels.

I've only shot a 34 and a 48 and both were just not good. The 34 was so bad I couldn't believe it was a real Diana. The 48 was at least very powerful. I also have an old Milbro, which I think is a 24 or 27 and it is useless with the piston stem rotating and not lining up to cock every time and also letting go at times. I guess a model 75 would be okay as I have seen, but not shot them and they seem well made.
I have a Original mod 27, I like it especially the positive lock up of the angled breech ,just the transfer port
is too long .
Haven't we had this one before Barry
And how many times have I got to tell you,
Diana 34 120th Anniversary model.
I thought you would have known that by now
Now I'm no expert of German air rifles but I'm sure HW would have worn the crown for 'the best choice', as the way I see it (and I may be wrong here) but the Diana 34/36/38 break barrel range just seems to be the same action in different stocks with a different model number.
Anyway I'm sure Shedtuner will be along soon to spoil your party
Pete
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
SP50 (sounds like a moped)
It was the first gun, and the only Diana, I ever owned in the mid seventys. I used to hide it in the park on the way to school and at dinner time with a couple of pals we shot at tin cans with it (now and again we even hit one but I can't remember if the pellet went through).
Oh how times have changed.
Old Original 45 if you class it as a Diana. I also have a newer Diana 460 stutzen which I like quite a lot.
Original 16, picked it up from a gunshop for £5 and spent many many fun hours plinking with it. best value Airgun i ever purchased.
My favourite would be the Pre war 27 model
I had an old model 50 with the full length stock, the lever followed the lines of the forend with only the push button sticking out
I aquired as a box of bits to rebuld, I remember the trigger being a sod to get together but it was a very elegant rifle

Barryg,
Oddly, my 1974 0.177" Diana 35.
I have had it from new, and must have shot many tens of thousands of pellets with it.
Unfortunately, I lent to an (ex) friend (fiend?) who really, really chewed it up.
It came back very rusty (stored outside in all weathers), he had fitted a huge Ox spring (!!!), and stripped the fore-end screw holes, so he tapped them out to 1/4" Whitworth and fitted some bolts he had from his tractor
I gave it a service, re-sprung it with the correct spring, then in despair, glued the action into the stock with silicone mastic (!!!!), and twenty (20) years later, it is still going strong, and still firmly glued
My 35 always amazes me with its accuracy, and I am really attached to it.
One of these days I will get round to giving it a gentle restore.
Have fun & a good Bank Holiday
Best regards
Russ
Pre-war Model 5 pistol and post-war it has to be the Model 75
