I'm John, currently living in Swindon.

Had a BSA Mercury around 35+ years ago, then 5 or so years ago I bought a CP88 just for occasional plinking in the garden, followed by a Ratcatcher.

I'm not sure what, but something rekindled my interest recently so after spending a few weeks reading through forum posts here and elsewhere I decided to get a proper air rifle. I wanted something accurate with a high shot count, and high consistency (unlike my CO2 guns which seem to change POI every time the weather changes). I opted for a Walther RM8, 170 regulated shots per fill (I know it's a Marmite gun but I like it, except for the weight ).

I've done some pellet testing (only at 16 yards) and it seems to like JSB's .. all of them! Just need to get out and do some longer range testing now.

Look forward to reading lots and contributing something eventually.
