    Haenel 310 stock re-furb

I have a Haenel 310 which looked quite "used" on the woodwork, varnish had gone thru in places, and the wood had gone a bit grey/black in those areas.

Stripped off all the old varnish, which was quite orange in colour, but now I cant decide if I should give it a tango coat of varnish, more like original, or just clear danish it, or maybe tea-bag it up a bit before the danish to give it a bit of depth. When my wife originally bought it for me I thought a slight green tinge may suit it, but gone off that now.
Its never going to be a show piece as someone previously has shot the stock as its got a small BB sized dent in the cheek!

Suggestions on the best finish for this little plinker please!
    Thanks - Geoff.

Mixed up some danish and some ebony stain for the first coat.
    Slightly darker, natural look.

    Thanks for the replies.
    Thanks - Geoff.
