What was the asking price for the air rifles on picture 34-37 and what are the experts opinions on those?
You don't see many air rifles of that age with wood being proud of the metal.

OMG a Howa! I wonder how much that went for?

Thanks for the photos, there are some nice BSA Airsporters and Webley Mk IIIs there.

wow, that's weird. I can only assume my subconscious has dialed your shirts out
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Considering the vile early morning weather this fair seemed bigger ,with more customers.
Can't believe it's only been going for 2 years.

Peter Liz and helpers pleasant as ever considering the amount of work and stress involved

Good meet and greet with BBS chaps.

You haven't got Binners in NZ, Trev, but I would have thought you would be more than capable given the right venue.

Are you asking about the engraved rifles?

    Kind regards,

    That makes me sad.
Thinking of Binners leaving Paddington Station for NZ in a Duffle coat and little hat.
    Cooked breakfast in a tin.

Must admit I like Don Blocksidge's work and have a few Webley pistols that he engraved. Don won't work on a good Webey but engraved pistols that had little finish on them anyway. He used to work for Webley and is undoubtedly an incredibly talented engraver.

I didn't look at the prices on the rifles at Kempton and wish I'd taken the rifles into a better lit corner of the fair as the photos I took did not do them justice.

    Kind regards,

    John

Don has a very nice collection of vintage rifles and pistols that I often admire when I’m at his place. I once asked him why he hadn’t engraved any of them. His reply of, ‘I don’t want to devalue them’, made me chuckle.
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation
