28mm bore, a whopping 100mm of stroke, UK spec guns can often have a crazy 2mm port reducer inside. My early .177 52 (1986) has a 3.6mm brass port in the 4mm hole I can't remember TP length, but it's quite short (5 or 6mm ish?) plus a couple of mm through the breech seal...

Recently I stripped an earlyish gun (127xxxx serial no, around 1992/3 production) and also a later one (165xxxx, around 2005 production). The stroke of the 30mm diameter piston in the earlier rifle measured around 63mm, while that of the later gun came in at around 84mm. The piston mass for both was a portly 396g, while the inertia weight inside weighs around 73g.

Are you sure HW 35 transfer port lengths are correct as the quoted length is about an inch?
