It's a good read but there may be an even better one coming out in the future so I am led to understand. We wait with bated breath and hands ready to dive for wallets.
Just finished this book well done and a lot of information. Just wish he would have continued the story through to WW2? Most interesting fact to me in the US was the fact these early guns were imported with great success to the US. Always thought the ones over here were brought over later. Too bad there is no way to distinguish original imports.

'Tis true. I have written a 109,000 word draft manuscript on the BSA air rifle and accessories, use, etc on the period between 1905 and 1939. However, finding a publisher to take the project on is somewhat elusive and I don't really want to self publish.
So, if anyone knows a good publisher, please get in touch....

I can understand your problem John, as my German friend Bruno Brukner has been trying to find a UK publisher for his first English update of his book "The Air Pistol", with no success so far. I have helped him with the translation and can vouch for it being an excellent and exhaustive text, covering spring, pneumatic and gas pistols with profuse illustrations. Despite the fact that it has no equivalent in the English language, and there would be a huge American market, UK publishers have shown little enthusiasm so far. He may have to try across the pond.
He is reluctant to self-publish, which is understandable as he is 90 years old. But for me, having had experience of both types of publishing, I would self-publish every time. It gives you control over everything, and is extremely quick and cost-effective if you produce your own pdf for the printers.
It does of course require a bit of financial investment, but as you know your market and the saleability of the final product, you can tailor the retail price and print-run to guarantee a quick return on your investment, with no risk whatsoever.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
Same here.
Put me on your list as well please. Glyn
Self publishing with crowdfunding seems to be the way to go these days. No point waiting for ponderous publishers who will take control and take a cut and don't necessarily understand your specialist audience.
