    Heym airgun with a difference!

Allmost missed this (made by Weihrauch) Heym airgun when it came up for auction!
There are some Heym's in my collection allready so I noticed the "HEYM" letters and scrolled on ......
Then my brain kicked in as there was something strange about it.
The ones I have said "Fr. Wilh. HEYM" meaning Friedrich Wilhelm Heym, but this one stated "AUG. Wilh. HEYM" and that was his brother!
Allso it stated the adress "Ostheim/Rohn" .
On the stock is the retailers name "WAFFEN-KRAUSSEN MUNCHEN-OST".

It is a very early one as it is numbered 142 all over and has some subtle differences compared to the other Heym and Weihrauch models from that era.
It is smoothbore because the Germans where not allowed to make rifled barrels in 1950 but in 1951 they could.
The stud for the diopter must be a later addition as it is made for a early Walther diopter, luckely I had a spare one!
    Rearsight is a replacement too.

Very interesting and a great find.

I can’t imagine many people have three of them! Nice to see the detail differences, too.
