on my 177 S200 the range of dots used on 24 mag is between 2 down and 1.5 up...thats on my nikko nighteater which has notoriously wide dot spacing...my deben has tighter dots so i anticipate even more would be used but i intend to junk midots in favour of bdc so i dont have to think about zoom anymore.

Very useful if you know the range . My Nikko Sniper 10x with a thirty yard zero is bang on one mildot at 45 yards. Makes 45 yarders easy if I know they are 45 yards

    7 yard 3 mils
    10 1
    14 zero
    20 .5
    25 .5
    30 .5
    35 zero
    40 .5
    45 1

All ranges rounded to nearest full or half dot, (45 yard is actually .8)
