I'm sure that will be possible.

I'm up at silly o'clock this morning formatting the next chapters...

    Kind regards,

Well done John for all the effort, something there is a demand for. Hope to see you at the next show.

    Hello John,
I know you will need a rest after finally getting the BSA book finished, but hopefully the self-publishing hurdles will have been crossed successfully making it a bit easier to also getting the Britannia book published in the not too distant future. There has been a significant knowledge gap in the general understanding of the between the war rifles from BSA which I'm sure this book will fill superbly.
    Regards
    Brian

Nothing is ever imminent I fear in the world of publishing, especially during these disruptive 'pandemicky' times! 'Eventually'; 'In the foreseeable future'; or 'In the fullness of time' might be more accurate?

Looks good. I will need to buy two copies. One each for daughter and myself.

Now who can we get to write a comprehensive history of Diana / Original?

    Cheers, Phil

You won't regret self-publishing John, although it may be hard work at times. Having published three (science) books with large publishing houses and one self-published airgun book, I can vouch for the many advantages of DIY. Yes, there is a substantial initial financial outlay, but in your case I am sure you will be able to judge the likely customer base accurately and get the appropriate number printed for a quick return of your investment. It will be tempting to go for the less expensive bindings, paper, cover etc., but I think for a specialist books like yours, the type of customers you will be getting are not the sort to mind paying a bit extra for quality. Always print a few more than you think you will need, speaking from experience.

    Good luck with the venture!

    Thank you John.

I'm looking at a hardback A4 size on quality paper. The end result won't be as glossy as my monthly articles but then again, books rarely are. I hope to include a few exclusives in the finished work to keep old hands happy as well as newer collectors.

    Kind regards,

    John

I am sure that is right, and after all people will be wanting to be looking things up in it for decades to come.

I can’t believe John’s encyclopaedia came out as long ago as 2008. My copy has seen a lot of use since then and has held up excellently
    Morally flawed
