    Eisenwerk Gaggenau rifles No. 2 - 8?

So we know about the E.G No.1 rifle:

    Apparentlymade in the 1880's

And then in the C.1895 catalogue it's starts at rifle No.9 (it seems no earlier catalogues are known) and goes up to 28 and includes all the known models except the No.1 and the Peerless.

    No.9-18 are all Gem types.

So does anyone know of any E.G rifles that predate no.9? I guess the peerless fits in there somewhere.
ccdjg discovered he owned a very early Kurbelspanner that is marked E.G and probably predates the Eisenwerk Gaggenau trademark and usual markings so this is probably one of them.

Anyone know of any others? Still 7 rifles unaccounted for, and the pistols were numbered separately.

    Cheers,
    Matt

    Sorted

    Ok,
So thanks to some outstanding research by ccdjg, utilising some period literature, we now have some answers:

EG no.1 rifle we know already
EG no.2 rifle is the Columbia (later known as EG19)
EG no.3 rifle is a Gem type
EG no.4 rifle is probably the TB peerless rifle (Based on the timeline)
EG no.5 rifle is a crank wound gallery gun, (similar to an O.Will Kurbelspanner)

Then we have reason to believe the remaining 3 rifles might include:

    A Bugelspanner
& A direct pull Mauser style kids trainer.
But we are not sure how they are numbered, 6, 7 or 8.

So that just leaves one left that is yet to be identified, let the hunt begin!

Many thanks to ccdjg’s fantastic research, greatly appreciated.
A more comprehensive breakdown of his research should be on Danny’s gallery shortly.

    Cheers,
    Matt
