Thanks for that , Thought it was late 80s, My old one was 000626 if I remember and thought the chap said it was earlier, I may have been mistaken though, My mk1 is a 95 model , Its a lovely gun to shoot and they still popular after 30 years. I think the gun speaks louder than peoples opinions,

    I wish I was a motor car - Ford Cortina 1600 E
I'd give myself a cosmic paint job - 4 push on wheel trims - well maybe 3
And inside I stick a furry dice, a gonk and a bee
    and 4 miles on I d hit a tree - and all because I couldn't see.

Wish that I could be like him

    Twin exhaust and rusty bumper

    Grey Cortina outa sight

Wish I had a grey Cortina

    Cortina owner, no one meaner
Wish that I could be like him

    Furlined seats and lettered windscreen

    Eight track blazing Brucie Springsteen
    Bomber jacket, dressed to kill

The simple answer is they are bomb proof. In a nuclear war there’s only 2 things that would survive… rats and Rapids !!!

My Rapid is .20 calibre and has the Anschutz trigger unit. As I've said, I've never found anything better. OK, the loading is a bit notchy, but that's due to the probe design which incidentally, has no O ring to perish.

Theres always time for an outing with a rapid!

I doesnt matter what airguns come in through the door.
The one that always gets to play in the field is a rapid of some kind. They will always be my go to gun.
Robust, accurate, yet still up there with the rest of the modern stuff.
Yrs ahead of there time. Love them!!

Like the Rapid, the S200 can be worked on and when they are, apart from shot count being different from a tube V buddy bottle, I would go for the 200 all day long

wheras I would stick the barrel (let's be honest, it's the only good thing about an S200) onto the rapid, and go for the rapid all day long
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
