Vintage airgun writing seems to be a labour of love.

The only current airgun writing that I can think of that is remotely profitable, is Airgun World/Air Gunner and that seems to be only because they write about modern guns and current manufacturers who are willing to advertise.

Vintage airgun articles may attract some mag buyers but they’re not written by career journalists. I’m thinking of John Atkins and John Milewski.

Other writers, John Griffiths, Trevor Adams, Chris Thrale, Larry Hannusch etc have other sources of income and have done it out of love of the hobby, I think. I doubt if John Knibbs did much more than recover his costs.
