I’m finally on a come down from a mad few days Tone

Firstly New Year’s Eve I splashed some serious wedge out on a rifle I’ve been wanting for years

it’s not a springer so it will be of little interest to most of the boingerati

Then in a moment of madness I put the tuned and re-engineered 30STL up for sale

honeymoon with new toy = nothing else would get a look in

But having slept on that idea I quickly realised Noooooooooo can’t do it so pulled the advert

Then the tumble dryer packed up NYD great start to the year had it in bits but not repairable drum bearing carrier completely sheared in two places can’t really bodge it and it’s on it’s last legs anyway so new tumble dryer in order.

Then I finally found a car after 2 weeks of car hunting and being Car-less but it was a PITA 70 mile round trip to go fetch it and everyone else was busy so the wife wasn’t happy with having to drive me over to fetch it but with 46k on the clock 1 owner from new and a bargain price I basically bought it blind and needed to act fast

We get back and I search for used tumble dryers as white goods hunting is a miserable experience everything new of interest either out of stock or delivery in 403 days time

But low and behold a chap out beeston way lists an as new tumble dryer on scumtree and I’m all over it pronto chap is a retired old gas engineer and even offers to deliver it for me so happy days.

Then a mate yesterday tells me he’s got a car I might be interested in from a family member and offers me at a ridiculous price I just can’t say no so I’m buying that as well, will be a perfect hunting truck.

From zero cars to two cars both combined well below my intended budget for just one car

Happy days I might buy myself a tasty springer as a reward Tone

Put around 50 of RWS’s finest hobbies down its throat and set up the opens

Could shoot this all day lovely little thing

I’m still on the fence with this little 30STL Tone

I’ve got a really bad conflict with heart and head over this.

My heart says it’s great and so nice to shoot (it’s tuned and fettled) but my head is saying meh it’s a poxy HW30 and I’ve got history with not liking them

Don’t know what to do really buddy.

Might not be just the 30 Tone, I think it’s springers in general

Last few years I’ve had my fun messing about and tinkering with them but if I’m being completely honest don’t think springers have really ever floated my boat as much as pcps.

Yeah I get the air thing and self containment etc

But sometimes with springers its like driving an old Ford Anglia with manual choke and smoke

Think I’m just getting really lazy
