I am thinking about ordering an extended piston rod for my HC.
Just wondering if the shorter barrel needs the longer stroke

I think you can get away with the shorter barrel and shorter stroke, Pete, but the TX specialists will be able to better and fully advise. When I put the TbT kit in my .177 HC (standard stroke), the preload had to be increased a good deal once the lighter top hat had been fitted to compensate for reduced momentum. And a good deal more preload versus an acquaintance's full length model, if that helps.

And a bouncy bit of colour for the new month.

I love these Spring months with the ever-lengthening days, light evenings, the colour, new life, new beginnings, new hope. I love those massive changes we see all around us as nature bounces back into colourful life. April, in particular, is one of the year's highlights for me. Especially when it brought the first Bash of the year at Quigley Hollow. Currently not the case and we all live in hope that, one day, Mick is well enough to host at least one event a year and see us at our spiritual Boingy home.

Neil is doing a fantastic job for us and Quigley Bottom is a lovely, picturesque venue and these Bashes fully capture the Spirit of The Boing faithfully.

And once those temperatures bounce back it will feel like Spring has sprung once again.
