Looking for a lightweight rifle for my niece to use, anything straight out the box available,or will i need to get something and alter the stock etc
Or if after a Springer? HW30, HW99 or Remington Express compact. Mach 1.5
Springer or other? If springer, am I correct in thinking that you're looking for something easy to cock? How old is your niece, and does she need full power? If she's above 14, a full power HW99 would fit the bill but if power isn't an issue the HW30 is a little beauty, extremely accurate, even easier than a 99 to cock, and slightly shorter in length too.
Realy need more info. Rough age & preference for pcp or springer ?

Welcome to the forum.
As said above, a little more information will be required as regards age, size, usage etc. But if they fit those criteria my springer recommendations would be the HW30 and 99.

Thanks for the replies so far,she is 12 and it will just be for some basic target shooting
Either a springer or a pcp as lond as it's easier for her to get used to.
You wont get better than the BSA Ultra JSR, superb little rifle.
VAYA CON DIOS
Are you a shooter or is someone else who will be supervising her ? because a PCP will need regular air fills & someone who knows what they're doing will be required to carry that out,
You also have the risk of blocking the barrel as pellets can still be loaded after the air runs out.
Also of course a method of filling will be required.
With a junior springer she should hopefully be able to cock the rifle herself, once shown how.
Will the shooting be at a range, in the back garden at short range, or on a farm (where neighbours are not an issue) open sights or with a scope of some sort ?
In order to provide useful suggestions we need to have as full a picture as possible.
