Thanks for the replies, both. Much appreciated. I think Kev has probably hit the nail on the head, as this type of rebranding of German imports is a very American thing (lots of examples, including Wischo). I did a bit of search on HH, and the most likely contender with such initials would be House-Hasson Hardware, of Knoxville-Chattanooga. Their mail order catalogues of the 1950's had firearms, air guns and accessories section.
