Wasn't really struck with the Innova, had quite a lot of plastic on it, i thought it was the poor relation to the Sharps Ace. Was the receiver plastic.

The problem with the Ace was that the scope rails were directly on the barrel which had quite a curvature. Special mounts relieved between the dovetails were required or a normal set modified. Ive even seen an Ace were the barrel between the dovetails was filed flat.

The Pan Target came in at least two versions. Both were sidelever with one based on the Victory valving and trigger and the other on the Ace set up. Then there is the Heirinken? target model which the PanTarget took inspiration from but that was not really a production rifle more like a large number of prototypes. Apparently there is a llnk between the two companies. The valving was conventional knock open similar to Benjamin/Sheridan/Setra.
No one has yet mentioned the best Sharp version of the Ace, the Hunter. Made for the US market with an angled sidelever and unique match trigger
Very interesting; thank you.
