I don't have an 'A' series Club but you said you are also interested in 'EA' series; I have one EA15345.
Hi I am trying to establish how many of the original E series Clubs still survive. If you have one and are prepared to post details on here I would appreciate it. Also interested in EA Clubs and first series G Airsporters. Will post results on here in due course.
Thanks

E10025 was mentioned in Airgun Shooter around 10 years ago and I own E11646 if that helps?
Kind regards,
John

Thanks for replies. According to John Knibbs who owns the factory records E10025 was the first gun despatched in October 1948. I thought the E series started at E10001 but have seen one or two like yours Sam with a number well below that.
I own 2 BSA Club's
E1114 A -the A was stamped in later, behind the serial, clear etching
E12082 - light etching, slightly visible
Airsporters.
G21625
G15978
G22105

Collection: vintage air pistols & air rifles / vintage air gun accessories
Facebook groups: vintage air guns 1. Webley, 2 BSA, 3. Haenel, 4. Weihrauch, 5. Diana
That's correct about the date of despatch.
Don't forget that with all mass serial production, products are not necessarily despatched in chronological serial number order, hence why E10025 was sent out before E10001. The despatch team would have grabbed the first gun or guns to hand.
There are examples of 1930s BSAs with relatively chronological serial numbers that were despatched around a year apart.

In my earlier post I should have included my early Airsporter G27014.

Thanks for replies. I have details of another gun with A after the serial number. Might it denote smoothbore? Also have you dropped a number 1 as this seems to be a very low number although I have seen others numbered below 10000?

Have pondered on here before that I have EC1164 that has club etched on the cylinder but Knibbs list says Airsporter. I'm sure John Milewski commented on it in the past.
