    Weihrauch HW85k Mark 1

I have seen photos of the HW85k Mk 1 always wanted one but they never seem to turn up for sale. I read on here Mach 1.5 after many years finding the rare Tyrolean version and was delighted with it. I was actually popping down to see him and had agreed to buy a rifle from a Gunshop in the Midlands. When I was there I asked if they had anything else of a similar age. The guy popped into the back shop and came out with a Weihrauch HW85k complete with a gloss black period Nikko Sterling Gold Crown 4x40 scope. Needless to say it’s now mine. Took it to Paul’s and he cleaned it up and checked it out and it’s spot on really, in very nice gently used condition .22 cal. You can see the BSF lines in it from the raised scope rails and compact size. Compared to a HW77 or, HW80 it really is noticeable the smaller size, but nevertheless Bomb proof construction. I’ve got it here in front of me just checking it out and tidying it up a little here and there before I pop outside to try it out. I’ve just been trying to post some pics of it on here and it’s a bit of a struggle. The software on here needs to be updated to make it easier for sure!

Anyone else got a similar rifle and or, experience with them?

    What stock has it got?
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

I like to use Imgur, https://imgur.com/ for
a picture holding/posting site which is free. I can upload my Canon or iPhone/iPad photos to Imgur and then they are available to post to any site/forum. This is an example of an Imgur photo I took with my iPhone 12 Pro.

.....never seen a gun with a saddle before, seen plenty nags with one but never a gun.

Cool. I have one in the Luxus stock. It’s quite a nice rifle.

    Hw85

The first 85's had a stock very much like the MK1 80's with the sloping forend. They then change to the more rounded look of the MK2 80's stock. They also introduced the deluxe stock with the added features of chequring on the pistol grip and a pistol grip cap which I dare they say HW borrowed from the 77 then of course the 85 tryolean stock. Lovely rifle in what ever stock. Mach 1.5

Of all the air rifles I've had over the years, this model was the only one that put 3 sighting shots in the same hole, so much so that I thought I had missed the second and third.
Live for today, tomorrow will look after itself.

Had a play with ours today. Should have taken photo of POI . First few at 15 metres. close group a bit high. Switched to 30 metres thinking result will be near POA.
POI again close group and virtually same amount high. 4.5 mm so expected flattish line but really impressed.
Had this pair but didn't like the cut down barrel cocking effort so sold it. Thought of switching stocks but couldn't bring myself to it.
The bottom one is the one performing today. The Lux stock is lovely but there's something about the lines of Plain Jane for me.

    I have a Hw85 in .22 with the deluxe stock,with V-Mach internals.
It shoots very nicely and is in great condition. It also has a period Gloss Tasco on top to complement it.
I bought it off BAD DAZ (where are you mate ?) one of the good guys from the Boinger Bash events..
    Les..
