Yes they did an oil can, but it was firearms oil for cleaning rifle and shotgun barrels. You generally see it in a cardboard case with Saftipaste and other gismos.

I have a pic on my laptop I think some where. It’s a green can and from memory it’s called Kleenwell oil. It’s a lovely tin. A brass Lee Enfield oil tube suits the old Bsa’s I think.

so would a lee enfield oiler been appropiate ?
I haven’t got my laptop for a few days, but will try and send you a pic when I get it back. I think a Lee Enfield oiler is appropriate as thousands must have come home as momentos after 1918, or maybe a sewing machine style oil dropper or generic valve spout can that were used for all sorts of stuff like cycle oil.
