Older PCP's. Still going strong and doing the business?

Four R7’s and sold them all, great air rifles but no regrets, I hope they’re still doing good service to the current owners.
No PCP’s now but if I ever did feel the need it would have to be a really nice s/h Mk. II Rapid 7 !

The only serviceable parts in a PCP are the seals, so there is little reason for them not to do the job they did when new. They also look better than most of the Walt crap on sale now imo

Nowt wrong with older kit.

Got a Daystate CR97 that will still do the business for ft. New ft stock by Mark Lawrence though.
Shoot hft at club level with a 1993 Ripley which is very consistent. Lovely old walnut target stock.
GC2 mkII which was extremely consistent but surpassed by modern triggers now. Needs a service though... cylinder has been inspected and passed by Sportsmatch. Sits in a Paul Wilson stock.

Prefer all the above to any meccano jobby....

I have 5 rapids in numerous calibres , I think they are around 15-18 years young, my .20 huntsman around 10,brought new and my falcon must be 11-12years old.
I have collected numerous spares for each over the years,mainly seal/etc just in case.
I don't why but I have more rapid stocks than complete rifles... must be love

Still as good as the day it was purchased, only one buddy bottle washer replaced from new, still hits the spot and puts a big smile on my face.
Probably the most reliable rifle I have ever invested in.

Falcon Prairie CM still going strong. Unregulated and fired tens of thousands of pellets over its life but still the most consistent rifle I have over the chrono. Variation of 1-2fps with the right batch of pellets. It ain't pretty but it's my go-to rifle if there's yard work to be done!

I have a Rapid 7 mk2 and a Ripley xl25 both over 20 years old. Still used and shoots like new . Can't fault them one bit

Wow.... quite a few oldies still going strong then, that's encouraging. You regularly hear stories of failed this, broken that, inconsistent the other, shoots like a shotgun etc. etc. So it's nice to hear positives about older pcp's still performing as intended and putting a smile on the owners face.

I have a skan ultra, AA s300, daystate ph6. All still going strong. The s300 has been the most reliable pcp i have owned.

i had an s300 for over 10 years never missed a beat & was as accurate as a very accurate thing.
