What a wonderful weekend yet again.

Just brilliant to spend quality time amongst genuine, brilliant, friendly, like-minded folk.

Great to see so many old friends again and so nice to see John and Nick again.

It was lovely to be able to welcome even more newbies on board once again, including the dad, son and daughter that Adam from Lincoln brought along later today who all loved it.

Thank you once again to our wonderful hosts for all the hard work, organising and self-sacrifice to ensure an event that ran brilliantly and delivered smiles in spades. And even the weather gods smiled on us once again.

What a fantastic weekend. Now we have to buckle up for the long and agonising wait until next May.

This was my first Bash today after a few years of 'threatening' to come along. Sadly only for the day but I'll be back next year and plan better for the full weekend. It was bloody brilliant.

I'll be honest, I was a bit apprehensive as I don't do 'crowds' well (even small ones) so wondered if, after ten years of the Bash, there might be a bit of a clique. I needn't have worried- it's one of the friendliest, most welcoming events I've been to, anywhere.

It was so good to put some faces to bbs names after all these years. Great to try some different rifles and lovely to hear some positive comments about mine. I think I might be a new addict to bell target, too. A low powered, high quality rifle with diopter sights is now on 'ze list'...

Thanks to TonyL for the last minute advice, thanks to all I met for the friendly welcome (and whose rifles I tried) and to Neil for putting it on.

As I said earlier, just bloody brilliant.
So glad you enjoyed it and many thanks for the wee Tasco, its due to be mounted on a HW 35 .177 very soon !
See you again sometime next year !

    Until then,

    John.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

It's very different and a creation of immense beauty, Les.

As you say, hopefully Craig will bring it along next time also.

That's the thing with The Bash. Although they're quite "cosy and compact" gatherings, there are still so many great people to spend time with, lovely airguns to see, newbies to help a little and also try and get some shooting in. It's tricky to get the right balance. So even after a couple of full days you come to realise that you didn't manage to spend as much time as you had liked with certain people. The time flies by far too quickly.

There were plenty of other lovely rifles to note too. And I bet a good few that I didn't see! But a couple more rifles to note yesterday was a brace of 35s.......one belonged to Paul. The Paul Short fettled one with the shrouded barrel and titanium piston. Utterly delicious. And Gav's was a thing of beauty. Felt lovely did that, Gav. Solid and smooth. Getting the trigger out and adjusted up will be the icing on a very delicious cake and nipping up the barrel axis tension a little. It'll be a perfect stunner then.

Tinted lacquer, mate - best thing to use on Beech. You can get it from guitar shops.

Oh did he now? How very interesting!

Y'know, I'm sure I also saw Pete flashing over some admiring glances. He was trying to do it on the sly, but I rumbled him! If our other Pete had also been there, that would have been three new 35 converts in one swoop!
