I buy them in bits, so it doesn't count....
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

What? WHAT? No, NEVER. I have to admit you had me going there for a minute.
Then I realized you must have been jesting.
Please don't say things like that too often, it's not good for my ticker.

Urban myth , right up there alongside the grassy knoll and the faked moon landing.

    Missing Jim

    Hi

Given the amount of facts and figures in Jim's articles I would imagine it takes more than a month to prepare them. Lets hope his disappearance is only temporary.

Yes, let's hope that this is, indeed, the case.

Maybe you should be writing to them, to let them know that you want his articles back

It could be a managerial reshuffle/change of direction with the demise of air gunner.

I was just about to write a post asking where Jim is but you beat me to it. Of course he might be on holiday but then again, unless I am mistaken, there is no mention of him in last month's nor this month's edition (using month of receipt not the 'next month's' publication date).
    Cheers, Phil

    That's an idea.

It must be said that there are plenty of other very good writers producing articles for the magazine. And I'm very glad that, although he ceased to be the editor, Terry can still churn out some absolutely brilliant stuff. Maybe removing those shackles of extra responsibility helps let those creative juices flow even more?

But Jim's been a favourite of mine for a very long time now (40+ years?), with myself and many others being so interested in the technical side, especially with springers, and looking forward to his articles with anticipation every month.

As has been said, let's hope that it is a temporary thing and we see him there in the very next issue.

It is rumoured that Jim is doing an apprenticeship on PCP's and will soon be back performing the usual wizardry column on AGW..... Moved on with the times I guess?

Much regards from a member of the springers club.

Ah, but our Jim's also very proficient in things over on the Dark Side already.

Of course, what we really want is that book that many of us Lord of The Spring devotees have been wanting for years. A sort of compendium of past articles all in one handy place and with a smattering of newly found knowledge to augment it. Come on, Jim, you know you want to........

But we still need our monthly fix!
