    They're both very nice.

The lower sales numbers of Diana airguns over more popular makes would naturally have resulted in the correspondingly lower numbers of custom / converted examples. Especially in the more recent era where I feel the brand has been let down by indifferent marketing.

The ones I can remember from many moons ago were Venom and Cindy's Shooting Shop.

Because most people find other airguns to be better.
    Too many airguns!

I generally prefer the standard stocks on Dianas. Seen a nice 48/52 stock on BAR website but every time I get an itch for a custom stock the prices direct me to a new rifle.

Only 'custom' Diana I've seen was actually a T01'd Mod75 that someone had helpfully reshaped the stock and pistol grip making it look and feel awful. Suffice to say it didn't sell to me.

I've got my 52 Barry with the ginb stock and loads of ally bits instead of the plastic, but you've seen that before. I also dropped across a walnut sporter stock for it made I believe by CS Sheffield. If I come across another 177 48 / 52 I might buy it to put the sporter stock on as its just sat there at the moment. I wouldn't mind a nice walnut sporter for one of my 34's but it would have to be a one off custom job as CS don't do them.

Cindy did the KT52 tuned by Ken Turner, some say that was best tuned 52 going.

It had a reduced cylinder, was short stroked and had a lightweight alloy piston running on bearings, all that was in 1988!

Here is an article about it from an 1988 Airgunner magazine:

I've had a lot of Diana's in my time but only one custom one, a short stroked 52 in a thumbhole stock. Its a hefty piece but shoots spot on. Like Maximus, I'd love a nice walnut stock for my 34.
You would think custom stocks would be available in the US. Given their appetite for 34s.

Maybe cause Dianas twang less out of the box than lets say HW. So theres less need for tuning/customisation?
My Diana 31s are far more quiet (less twang) than the HW98. Hell, even my Hatsan 125 and 135 dont twang as much as the 98
Maybe they were sold less due to pricing or less marketing.
Maybe the tuners available were less specialised in Diana.
I do have a rare Diana, a 54 FT, with a adjustable stock and 75 trigger

    Diana

Airmasters, Cindy Shooting Shop and Venom to name but a few worked on various models in the day. Steve Pope did a barrel switchable 48. A friend of mine as two KT 52's from Cindy. Shoot nice but a bit of a lump. Mach 1.6

Hi Barry, I drew them up and got them specially made. The sleeve for the trigger is a mind bender! Made my own straight blade brass trigger too. Its short stroked and has buttons here and there i think. Very accurate rifle with a wide range of pellets. I believe Diana have hammer forged barrels? Regards Max
