    TX200 trigger reset

    Poop.

Have had a Rowan adjustable trigger on my .177 TX for a long time, when I fitted it I adjusted the pins so it matched the profile of the AA trigger I removed, and rifle fired as soon as safety was released.. wound out both until it no longer did this, and then adjusted the first stage screw, ended up with a nice tension on first stage and predictable let off on second stage

Just fitted same triggers to my .22 TX and Prosport, removed the trigger from the .177 and replicated settings on new triggers

.22 TX seems to have no first stage, .22 Prosport first stage feels vague and long, and both have a very light break on second stage

Is there a method for setting both stages? I've used the search function on here and found various threads, but if anyone has a tried and tested step by step method it would be greatly appreciated!

Make sure trigger weight isn’t too light.

    Wind both stage screws out.

Wind first stage in until it fires *when you squeeze the trigger*.

Wind second stage until you feel it *when you squeeze the trigger*.

Adjust trigger weight to safe but smooth.

Ta.... is that just turn screw in until it fires and then back off?

No, if you do that you will have a hair-trigger or a rifle that will not latch.

Have a re-read on the link I sent you, or more safely pop into a local RFD that you can trust and have them lend a hand.

You need to pull the trigger over and over to feel the stages, and adjust to suit each rifle.

If you were coming to Swindon you could come to the range and we have all the triggers adjusted in 10 minutes.
