    Weihrauch rear sight blanking plate

My HW99 was looking as bit bland as they all do when the open sights are removed (I bought it second hand and never had them unfortunately). So I designed a blanking plate I could make on a 3D printer, but also jazz up a little.

It's printed from a UV resistant material. Then chemically treated to increase strength, text painted, sanded and polished/waxed. The two pins on the bottom engage the empty screw holes and there's some double sided tape to keep it in place.

If there's any interest in them, I have a pile of unfinished ones that could be finished and put in the new items area of the sales.

Do you know if they will fit the HW30 and if so do you have just a plain black one please?

Not sure. But even if it doesn't I do have a 30 here so I can measure it and make a plain one easy enough

That would be great, Karen's 30 could do with one, I hate exposed holes on the blocks, let me know how much please.

    Cheers

Hopefully Tone, I've ordered a plain one for Karen's 30 (I mentioned 30, so no one thought I was trying to cover up Karen's holes)

They look good Dan, mine are all plain smooth on top, I believe I paid £7 each for mine when originally purchased and custom fitted to the top of the breech block , but ones on offer at the moment are textured or have simple recessed HW99 on the bay of flea with no coloured letters which range from £10 - £13 , it will be awkward to cater for everybodies tastes , some want plain, some want textures some like a bit of bling on their guns , so you could possibly price accordingly ??

My eyes are so bad nowadays that opens aren't a feasible option to me anymore , so the breeches look better with a plate over them . You just have to expect a rush for them to start with then it drops off to the occasional buyer as I've found out in a few places before, then they seem to dissapear or become made to order. But they certainly smarten the guns up

These are quite awkward to take photos of, but I got there in the end
HW30 without text. The brushed finish I think is the best way to hide the underlying 3d printing pattern.
They can be polished to a very glossy/mirror finish but then the underlying pattern shows through a bit.

Yes I'll probably do £7.50 for a plain one, £10 for a custom one with letters on. They cost almost nothing to actually make, the cost is in the finishing. Acetone smoothing, de-gassing, sanding, polishing for the plain ones, and paint on the ones with text.

The plain ones I can make in batches so they are nice and easy.
