    Most memorable shooting experience.

I had a permission over Biggin Hill way. Permission is not quite right, more of an annual fee. Large beef farm. A wildlife haven, it was worth every penny just to be there. Apart from fields surrounded by hedges, there was a small wooded area with a bridle path through the middle. It was here that I often sat, full camouflage and with a wide brim hat with face veil and camouflage gloves, sitting with my back against a tree, my HW 80 or it might of been the 85, across my knees, watching everything.
There was a small clearing in front of me and it was from here this furry ball sounding like a whirling devil was approaching my way at a rate of knots. 2 squirrels having a big fight came withing a couple of feet of me a d it was only then when I moved they crapped themselves and went their separate ways. No shot was fired.
It was here, another day, that 2 mid twenties ladies tied their mounts and, how to say, enjoyed the pleasure's of eachother's flesh, I kid you not. Thought I had been rumbled when the horses started starring my way ! Never underestimate good camouflage.

A few years ago on the farm I was out rabbiting, with nothing to show as it got to last light I sat down by some brambles to fit the NV add-on & wait for full dark.

Scanning the bottom of the valley 200yds or so down to the stream, to the left I saw a family group of 6-7 Fallow emerge from the woods, after a few minutes I spotted another similar group directly below me about 100yds from the first,
continuing to scan right I picked up a third slightly larger group of maybe a dozen, I watched for 20-25 minutes hoping to see some rabbits but none appeared,
so I stood up walked around the brambles & silhouetted all around me was a herd of probably 20+ Roe, I slowly skirted around them trying not to show any interest & spook them which I somehow managed & went home without firing a shot all day.
