What shot size did they use in 1700-1750 in smoothbore sporting flintlocks

I have been doing some research into sporting guns around 1700-1750 when wing or bird shooting started to be very popular using smoothbore flintlock guns of the time. Although buck and ball was used as well as shot in trade guns overseas like the new world of the time, i was wondering what size shot was available during this time period and what was commonly used back then Today we have a choice in the shotgun world using shot sizes from BB to 12, just wondering what they had available back then.

Have a look at this page from the muzzleloaders forum , It gives you the shot sizes that were imported from London to the various areas of the Americas in various 1700 papers.
