Very nice. I'm a big fan of close chequering like that and any blued steel pistol is upgraded by replacing plastic grips with walnut IMO. Beats me why the craftsman didn't put a top border on the panels though.
The checkered replacement grips for the Tell 3 a couple weeks ago reminded of this Hy-score I picked up years ago. Only replacement grips I have ever seen on a Hy-Score? Tried to upgrade sight as well.

tricky grips to make i would imagine, one piece?i would agree that a top border to the chequering would have finished it off.
They look very nice,i agree with the other comments, would have finished it off lovely.
Yes one piece, and he upgraded the trigger guard, had to change the way the spring operates the trigger? Not an easy transition.
Yes a very nice piece of skill indeed. l wish that l could do it.
You just can’t beat the combination of wood grips and metal frames in my opinion. They add a touch of elegance than can transform the appearance of any gun.

What's that dark line across the backstrap, joining the two chequering panels, Steve?

No, took the grips off and they are one piece. Wood has recesses that are fitted perfectly. There is a metal piece pressed into the center from above which has been drilled and tapped to accept the grip strap screw and support a spring that supports the trigger mechanism. Not exactly sure why the black strip- holding in that part inside grip? Found out I can easily change out the top part of the pistol with removing just one screw. Kind of like it with this repeater?
The mystery to me is the milled trigger guard, fitted perfectly as well? The originals were just bent sheet metal see below.

Wow! That grip is beautiful!
I've a HyScore but standard hard plastic grip!
The foam in the case disintegrated, Possibly a reaction to oils from the gun through the years, I'll get some eggbox foam for it probably!
This was the sellers pic, They're better than mine!

I do not think you are giving yourself enough credit your pic is quite good.
Do enjoy the Hy-score air pistols. They are both powerful and accuracy.
