I collect vintage Japanese air rifles & vintage Japanese pellets
Information sought about antique firearms with Japanese markings, do you have one ?
they are not brass they look bronze to me
smeltered bronze looking at the rear of them and the paterna
will probably sell for a small fortune
Crumbs!!
I could have made loads of them at my works, We used to make cannons, knives, ash trays, guns in fact all sorts when we didn't have a gaffer on!!!
Can't do owt now as they've installed cameras to spy on us now
The cameras were installed for health and safety purposes but loads of people have been done for smoking where the shouldn't
Not me btw, I don't smoke but I dislike being lied to

If you're thinking of bidding for these grips, I wouldn't bother if I were you. I owned a pair just like them, probably made by the same person. But they were so heavy they made the pistol unbalanced and unpleasant to use. A gimmick, basically.

Excellent for self defence...dont bother firing the pistol at your attacker just plop him over the head with the (heavier) collectable!
I remembered about these and would still like a set.
Yes--they probably do upset the balance of the gun and they would be bloody uncomfortable to shoot with on a cold day---------but they would enhance the "clubability" and the Webley pistols ability to deliver blunt force trauma
Does anyone ave a set?
Cooler than Mace Windu with a FRO, walking into Members Only and saying "Bitches, be cool"
Wow! I can't even recall replying on this 14 year old thread!!

No reason why you couldn't cast these grips in urethane casting resin, with Brass powder added. With the correct percentage of Brass powder added you can then polish them up in a similar fashion to metal, but would be half the weight. I did an article in one of Danny's fabulous magazines , which shows the technique in detail. I was casting in black, but using metal powders is just a variation in the same technique.
