HW 95 - where to get the correct OEM spring?

Been trying to source OEM HW95 springs for years (since 2009 actually), but it seems like when I buy OEM HW95 springs I get the HW97-HW77 springs.

The specs I find in the mainspring data thread says the 95 spring should measure around 13,8mm ID with 3,1mm wire,
and the 97-77 spring should measure around 14,3 ID with 3,1mm wire: https://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread...ng-data-thread
I've bought both 95 and 77-97 springs from both Versandhaus and Knibbs over the years, and they have all been the 14,3 ID spring.

My 95's all came at German or Swedish power levels, so I dont have any original full power springs for them.
The full power (Norwegian power levels) old HW85 came with the 13,8mm ID spring, and I'd like to get the same spring for the 95's.

Doe anyone know a source for the 13,8mm ID HW spring?

I spotted this protek spring the other day.

V130 not exactly what you are looking for regards I.D. @ 13.4mm but maybe more suitable?

    Hi evert,

Maybe give Monsieur Le TinnyBum a try?

I don't know the exact sizes and spec of his springs, but believe the motivation behind sourcing his own springs was to achieve OEM HW-spec springs but made to more consistent tolerances / sizing?

Thanks, but that does not sound like what I'm after.
With an OD of 20.5mm and an ID of 13.4mm it will be a 3.55mm wire, which will be extremely stiff.

The thing about the 13.8mm OEM spring is that it fits very well on the OEM HW95 spring guide, and I find it to be quicker and less "bouncy" than the 14.3mm ID spring with the same wire.

    No worries totally understand.

Maybe worth messaging Tinners (tinbum) or Welsh Willy (woodfield gcp) see if they have anything more suitable.

I had a quick look on Mundilar for OEM 16j springs but not sure that would help either as you mentioned you’ve been down the knibbs and Versandhaus route so probably the same spring

Thanks! The Mundilar spring is described as a 14mm ID spring, wonder if it really is a 13.8 or 14.3mm spring...

Well there’s only one way to find out

Let us all know what it’s actual size is when it arrives

I don't think the id tolerances will be that consistent, I expect there will be a reasonable spread of diameters. Best to buy a kit with a fitted guide really

I make and fit my own guides. The thing is that the HW85 with the OEM 13.8mm ID spring performs really well, and I'd like to find a source of the same springs.

The HW95 was listed as 13.8mm ID, but I haven’t encountered one of those for over 4 years now. All UK guns have an HW77 spring fitted, and it wouldn’t surprise me if other countries are the same.

Thanks! It makes sense from manufacturing standpoint to use the same spring.

Versandhaus lists their spring as 13,6mm:
    https://www.versandhaus-schneider.de...oducts_id/1502

So maybe worth another try? I'm just afraid they'll send me the 14,3mm spring that I already have a couple too many of..

Those specs look promising, maybe worth a try!
UK or Germany, still expensive to import..
