Who else remembers the "BSA Family" from the 1970s/80s magazine adverts?
They were all gathered round a table, with one of them sat down shooting a BSA air rifle. I can't remember if it was dad sat down, shooting an Airsporter, or if it was one of the kids, shooting a Meteor.
I can't find the picture anywhere on the internet.
Please tell me I'm not going daft, and this was a real advert.
Anyone able to post the pic?
I'd like to download it into one of my files.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.
remember it well
I know the picture you mean, but I have always wondered who was the Lad on the box of the Webley Premier ?
Don't remember the BSA family, but my teenaged self certainly did recall the comely young lady on the Milbro Cougar ad (come to think of it that may have been a deliberate choice of model and pistol name).
Many thanks to jjjjjj for e-mailing me a pic of the original ad.

On the risque theme, Freddie Dalgety had pictured a comely wench on a riverbank in Scotland in all black, including boots with Stockings and Suspenders for his review of the Milbro Black Major in AGW.
I am sure that attire lead to a more favourable review than the pistol merited
For those of a certain age it reminds one of Kays and Littlewoods mail order catalogue you Mum ran, with the Women's Lingerie section before the Airguns ( Webley Hawk Mk2 with both barrels, Webley premier and Relum Tornado's)
Later catalogues had the FWB Sport and 300 too.
The Joys of youth ! sadly long gone
Hhmmm mums catalogue, agreed after scanning with great interest as a young lad the offerings of playtex and other items of interest to a 14 yr old boy, I ordered a anchutz 335 complete with silencer, tasco scope.

But you could also buy baikel shotguns too!
